HOMER, ALASKA
A Seaside community w/breathtaking view of Kachemak Bay!
24.7.07 - 27.7.07 -17 °C

"A" List this lovely seaside town. We camped on the "Spit" which is a narrow 2 mile long penninsula jetting out from the south western tip of Homer. Our views of glaciers, mountain ranges & oceans were spectaclar! Eagles galoore-several roosts located along the Spit. We watched one munch on a salmon. The Spit is home to all the water activities (fishing, kayaking, water taxis)
Jimboni & I took a Kayak tour out to Otter Cove-nice 4 hour paddle with sea otters, puffins & lots of birds.
All of the surrounding islands are accessable via water taxis or small aircraft Homer is considered the Halibut Capitol!!!
